Experience Behind the Service

Natalie C. Hunt, M.Ed., M.A., FEPS®

Founder & CEO | Team Builder | Educator | Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel

For more than four decades, Natalie C. Hunt has focused on building, developing, and supporting teams that help individuals, families, and businesses make informed financial and insurance decisions. Her philosophy is simple: exceptional client service should never depend on just one person. It requires a knowledgeable, well-trained team committed to education, integrity, and service.

Natalie began her professional career after earning graduate degrees in Education and Psychology, serving as a Psychological Examiner with the Arkansas Department of Human Services. She later transitioned into the insurance industry as a Quality Service Consultant with Aetna Life & Casualty before accepting a leadership position with Metropolitan Life.

Her extensive agency-building experience grew significantly when Natalie and two colleagues were selected to relocate a Metropolitan Life General Agency from Metairie, Louisiana, to Iselin, New Jersey. Under her operational leadership, the General Agency developed into a full-service organization with more than 100 employees supporting thousands of MetLife agents and their clients. Natalie ultimately retired from MetLife as an Operations Manager.

Following her corporate career, Natalie co-founded a national insurance marketing organization specializing in final expense and funeral planning. That organization evolved into a full-service insurance agency providing a broader range of insurance and financial solutions, including life and health insurance, preneed and burial planning, retirement income strategies, debt-related solutions, and other services designed to help families protect what they have worked to build.

Today, as Founder and CEO of Be Smart With Your Money®, Natalie continues to apply her agency-building experience by recruiting, mentoring, training, and developing professionals who share her commitment to client education and service. Rather than building a practice in which clients must rely solely on one individual, Natalie is developing a team capable of serving clients across multiple areas of need.

Natalie has also devoted considerable attention to educating federal, state, and other public-sector employees about their retirement benefits and identifying potential gaps between pension income and their long-term financial needs.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the nation’s only nonprofit organization that grants the professional designation Final Expense Planning Specialist (FEPS®). The organization serves the public by establishing and enforcing education, examination, and ethical standards for FEPS® professionals.

A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Natalie brings the same principles of leadership, preparation, accountability, and team development from her military and corporate careers to Be Smart With Your Money®.

Natalie is also the proud mother of two sons, both independent business owners, and a proud grandmother.

Building a Team to Serve You
